Computer
Lab (Blue)

Located
in the Education Building, Room 116, this lab hosts
30 Pentium IV computers running Windows XP Professional,
on an Ethernet network. Microsoft Office 2003 and Microsoft
Office XP are installed on each computer. Printing is
routed to a network laser printer located in the lab.
This lab is used for classroom instruction and general
student use. AGS computer classes are held here in the
evenings and are not generally open for student use
at night. During scheduled class times, students other
than those receiving instruction are not permitted access
to this lab. A semester schedule is provided at the
lab entrance. Students may be required to show ID and
reserve computer time. Class work takes priority over
recreational activities such as e-mail and intant messaging.
Instructors and Information Technology staff supervise
this lab during hours of operation. Questions or problems
with software or hardware should be reported to instructors
or to the help desk at extension 5050.

in the Gibson Science Building, this lab hosts 12 Windows
XP Professional computers and is operated by the Science
Division for Applied Computer Science majors. The computers
are equipped with Microsoft development software tools,
Microsoft Office, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Fireworks.
Access to this laboratory is limited to students seeking
an Applied Computer Science major or minor.

Pentium IV computers running Windows XP Professional
on an Ethernet network. Microsoft Office 2003 is installed
on each computer. Also available is Dreamweaver, Photoshop
and Fireworks. Printing is routed to a network laser
printer located just outside of the Lab.

Charleston
General
Use Labs
The
University provides each satelitte campus with two or
three computers for research purposes. Internet access
is provided through the University WAN. Microsoft Office
XP is installed on each computer. Printing is available
in each lab.
Thirty
laptop computers running Windows 2000 and Microsoft
Office XP are available for classroom instruction. Computers
are not to be removed from the classroom or assigned
facility.
